Birmingham, Halesowen- B&Q retail warehouse

Retail warehouse let to B&Q plc for 25 years. In 1997 the first 100,000 ft B&Q warehouse was developed on a former landfill site at Mucklow hill. The site comprised 12 acres of heavily contaminated land which was fully remediated with the building set on 23 metre piles. The scheme was recognised at the time as one of the most pioneering developments for reclaiming contaminated land and the investment was sold in 2005 at 4.4% net initial yield.

Colchester-Hythe Quays

In 2000 this 30 acre site was acquired in partnership with Deutsche bank. This site was a former brick refractory lying between the River Colne and the campus for the University of Essex. Once again the site was fully remediated and planning permission was obtained for a 100,000 ft B&Q store, 800 student accommodation units for the University of Essex and 400 private residential dwellings. The store was let to B&Q on a 25 year lease and developed the student accommodation wassold on to the University of Essex via a pre sale agreement. The remainder of the land was sold to Barratts PLC which completed the total regeneration this strategic site to the East of Colchester.

Hampstead,The Panoramic - Mixed retail (M&S) & residential development.

Redevelopment of former ABC cinema site adjacent to the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead. The scheme included a 17,000 ft store for Marks and Spencer’s, 36 luxury residential apartments and 12 three and two bedroom family apartments for St. Pancras and Humanist housing association.
